HydroGenesis is exploring natural hydrogen in Africa by leveraging existing oil and gas exploration technologies. The company is investigating potential natural hydrogen generation through processes like oxidation, radiolysis, and thermogenesis, particularly in intracratonic basins and ophiolite complexes. Currently, there are only a handful of companies exploring for natural hydrogen in Africa such as D3 Energy, Noble Helium, and Helium One Global.
