Bluejay Mining launched its exploration programme in Finland's Outokumpu Belt to evaluate potential deposits of natural hydrogen and helium, alongside other industrial gases. Historical data from the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) has already revealed significant gas concentrations, including a notable 100-meter intersection with 5.6% helium and deep drilling results showing up to 46% hydrogen. The upcoming work will include surface and water sampling, flowmeter and pumping tests, packer testing and Borehole Magnetic Resonance logging. These efforts aim to fast-track the assessment of gas reserves across Bluejay’s 40km licence area, leveraging over 2,000 historical drill holes as a foundation.
