Canada is rapidly increasing exports and production volumes. In April '23, the country exported record volumes of 22mmcf (+42% YTD y/y), while pricing has averaged ~US$250/mcf YTD (+34% y/y). The majority of Canada's volumes are produced by North American Helium, a private helium explorer operating in Saskatchewan, with smaller volumes coming from Thor Resources and Canadian Helium. A few helium exploration companies are en-route to produce helium in 2023 such as Royal Helium. The Saskatchewan government is also encouraging players to boost helium production and has taken many initiatives, including signing a MOC with Japan long term helium supply and launching the Critical Mineral Strategy to drive helium exploration.
