Aeros, a logistics company that manufactures airships, is set to construct a new manufacturing facility for its Aeroscraft, a zero-emission cargo airship that uses helium for buoyancy. This facility is aiming to produce 36 airships annually. The Aeroscraft will be primarily powered by hydrogen fuel cells and is designed for vertical take-off and landing capabilities. The project is expected to inject US$2bn into the economy over 14 years and highlights the role of helium in enabling eco-friendly air transportation solutions. Aeros is currently selecting a construction partner that aligns with its sustainability goals. There are several companies now pursuing commercial airship solutions such as LTA, Flying Whales, and Hybrid Air Vehicles.
