Citing an unpublished US Geological Survey report, geologists believe that massive reserves of natural hydrogen exist which could meet global hydrogen demand for centuries, even if a small portion of it is extracted. This has sparked excitement and investment in natural hydrogen production due to its cleaner and more cost-effective nature compared to current methods. Recent findings of increased hydrogen levels in places like France, Australia, and Albania further fuel this interest. However, challenges remain in efficiently extracting and utilizing these reserves on a large scale.
