The French government has granted TBH2 Aquitaine an exclusive license, "Sauve Terre H2," to explore a 55k acre area in Pyrénées-Atlantiques for natural hydrogen, helium, and related substances. The exploration will involve seismic surveys and drilling in the coming years. France is also exploring additional permits in regions like Lorraine and Jura, and international interest in exploiting natural hydrogen is growing, with Spain and the United States also considering such ventures.
