Siemens Begins Construction of Advanced MRI Manufacturing in UK

Siemens Healthineers initiated the construction of a new £250mm facility at Symmetry Park, North Oxfordshire, dedicated to designing and manufacturing superconducting magnets for MRI scanners using DryCool technology. This technology reduces helium usage and enables the production of the world’s smallest and lightest whole-body MRI scanners. However, previously, we have seen that MRI machines that use less helium have barely cause a dent in the overall helium used in the MRI market.
