ECR Minerals, a small cap (~US$6.5mm market cap) UK-listed miner focused on gold exploration in Australia, is considering investments in producing helium assets in the US to diversify its business. ECR's chairman Nick Tulloch is the CEO of Voyager Life plc, a UK-listed CBD company that recently bought working interest in M3 Helium, which has helium producing assets in the Hugoton field, Kansas. ECR also plans to focus on assets with existing or historic helium production and access to necessary infrastructure, prioritising those capable of near-term production. The company aims to maintain a low-cost operating structure, ensuring funds are directed towards operations, with any new share issuance occurring at or above the current market price.
