Blue Star Helium received approval from the Colorado Energy and Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) for the development of four proposed helium development wells at its Galactica/Pegasus helium project in Las Animas County, Colorado. The approved wells (Jackson 05 SWNE, 07 NWNE, 29 SWSW, and 33 SENE), are offset development wells to the JXSN#1, JXSN#2, and JXSN#4 helium discoveries (with helium concentrations of 2-6%). This prospect is close to the Red Rocks helium project operated by Desert eagle Operating LLC, which began in Feb'23. This marks the fourth OGDP approval at Galactica/Pegasus, with a total of 11 helium development well locations approved. Blue Star will now proceed to submit the final drilling permit applications for these wells. The company is considering various development pathways for Galactica/Pegasus, including potential CO2 by-product streams. This development is being carried out in parallel with the Voyager development where two production wells - Bolling#4 SESW and BBB#3 are being drilled.
