D3 Energy contracted Van Zyl Boorwerke (VZB) to drill a new well, RBD12, within ER315. This follows the successful drilling of wells RBD10 and RBD11, which confirmed helium concentrations of 5%. RBD12 aims to further explore the gas-rich region west of the Virginia Fault, near the historical RBD03 borehole. The well is expected to enhance the company's understanding of the area's geology and gas migration patterns, potentially leading to a broader production testing programme. This initiative underscores D3 Energy's strategy to exploit its low-cost, high-potential helium assets in energy-scarce South Africa.
