D3 Energy Begins Gas Production Testing at Nooitgedacht Major in South Africa

D3 Energy commenced a 14-day production testing programme at Nooitgedacht Major, a legacy borehole within ER315 in South Africa's Free State. Originally drilled in 1990, the well has been flowing gas since. Located 43km north of Bloemskraal along the Homestead Fault, the test will evaluate the gas prospectivity of ER315's northern area. Future plans include drilling Erfenis 1 near Nooitgedacht Major to enable interference testing and further delineate production potential. This initiative builds on the success of 2024’s multi-borehole testing at Bloemskraal. This move by D3 is to expand the helium fairway beyond the RBD wells where the company has seen several successful wells.
