USGS 2025 Helium Report: Notable Improvement in Reporting

The 2025 U.S. Geological Survey, Mineral Commodity Summaries for helium has been published, which is one of the only official datasets published on the global helium industry. US helium production increased by 6% in 2024 y/y to 2,400mmcf given the full year production from La Barge after a scheduled maintenance downtime in 2023; however, 2023 production was revised down by 35mmcf to 2,240mmcf. In the past there have been significant revision to the data; however, last year the USGS corrected most of its historical data which was reflected in this year's report where only the 2023 numbers (which were estimates in the previous report) have been updated with the actual numbers.
