The European Commission has approved Germany's 34.5 billion euro (US$36.60 billion) plan to recapitalise Uniper, subject to future divestment, management pay and acquisitions. Among other conditions, it involves the sale of Uniper's international helium business. The plan complies with EU state aid rules on the necessity, appropriateness and size of the intervention.
