Taiwan saw no helium volumes from the US in Feb'24, which resulted in total imports falling by 43% m/m to 18mmcf, all sourced from Qatar. This appears to be a reporting error where the US volumes for Feb '24 may have been recorded in Jan '24, which would also explain the spike in US volumes in Jan '24 to 22mmcf vs the LTM average to Dec '23 of 9mmcf/m. If we equally divide the US imports from Jan'24 over Feb'24, it would imply 29mmcf for the month (still down 14% y/y LTM), which aligns more closely with the usual average. Import prices are showing the same increasing trend, averaging US$530/mcf (+19% y/y LTM).
