Study Identifies Superconductor Materials That Operate Above Liquid Helium Temps

US materials physicists screened ~7,300 conventional superconductors and mapped how strong a magnetic field each can withstand before losing its zero-resistance state, identifying candidates that tolerate up to 66.9 Tesla, well above the ~10 Tesla minimum for superconducting magnet applications (such as MRIs).
