South Yorkshire Mayoral Approves £7mm Investment for HAVs

The South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority approved a £7mm loan investment to Hybrid Air Vehicles, which will allow the company to invest up to £310mm into its production programme. The programme will create over 1,200 new high value and highly skilled jobs in new green technologies, and further jobs and opportunities from growth across the company’s supply chains. Other players include Airbus, SoftBank (via its HAPSMobile unit), Stratospheric Platforms, Avealto, and BAE.
