Siemens secured an FDA clearance for its new Magnetom Flow Ace 1.5T MRI scanner, featuring a closed helium circuit that uses just 0.7L (~20mcf) of helium over its life, eliminating the need for a quench pipe (a safety vent in traditional MRI systems).
