Russia Exported Helium ISO Containers for >US$1,200/mcf

AKAP Energy closely monitors Russian helium exports at an individual shipment level, however the data available is heavily delayed. Russia maintained consistent pricing for its ISO sized shipments at ~US$200/mcf until 2019. However, as the supply shortage intensified, sellers adjusted prices to align more closely with the global average pricing for helium. Notably, some buyers began paying as much as US$700/mcf in early 2020, marking a 3x increase from previous levels. A recent analysis in February 2023 revealed major industrial gas companies acquiring helium at rates as high as US$1,250/mcf.
