Rukwa Region Opens-up Doors to Foreign and Local Investors

The Rukwa Region in Tanzania has emerged as a promising destination for investment, particularly in the field of helium exploration. The region boasts abundant minerals, a sufficient labour force, a large market encompassing both local and neighbouring countries such as Zambia and Malawi, favourable climatic conditions, and attractive geography. The potential for helium extraction in the Rukwa Lake Basin area is currently in the research stage, presenting significant investment prospects. Additionally, the government's efforts to improve regional infrastructure, including the construction of ports and passenger and cargo ships in Lake Tanganyika, as well as ongoing renovation projects, aim to facilitate trade and attract domestic and foreign investors. Currently, there are two helium exploration companies active in Rukwa - Helium One Global and Noble Helium.
