Rhino Oil and Gas Pursues Helium and Natural Gas in South Africa

Rhino Oil and Gas Exploration, a South Africa-based hydrocarbon and helium explorer, applied for an Exploration Right with the Petroleum Agency South Africa to explore natural gas across ~620 acres in Mpumalanga Province. This acreage is situated on a helium play and is in the same area as D3 Energy and Renergen. This application involves conducting aeromagnetic surveys and drilling at least two wells to ascertain the presence of gas. The project, requiring environmental authorisation, will include a comprehensive scoping and environmental impact assessment led by SLR Consulting.
