During the recent AGM, Renergen mentioned that the Centre for Environmental Rights (CER) had raised concerns regarding the Phase 2 expansion and its Environmental Authorisation (EA). The company clarified that while CER appealed the EA, the Minister dismissed 5 out of 7 grounds of the appeal. Importantly, this appeal has not caused delays in the Phase 2 progress. The Minister advised Renergen to enhance the Impact Assessment Reports in response to the remaining grounds of appeal. A revised report will be submitted for further review, with the Company confident that this will lead to a positive EA approval. This comes after Renergen announced the commencement of its Phase-1 liquid helium production. Renergen also clarified that it has been cleared of all allegations of corporate governance irregularities by South African regulatory bodies.
