JEOL Ltd, Japan Superconductor Technology and Ulvac Cryogenics have developed a Cryogen Reclamation System for Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) instruments that can significantly reduce evaporation of both liquid helium and liquid nitrogen. This system is light-weight and space-saving, reduces the frequency and costs for refilling the cryogen, and can be attached to existing NMR instruments. This system can maximize the operation time of NMR instruments while reducing the risk of stopping them due to difficulty in obtaining liquid helium.
