Scientists at Lancaster University have developed a new quantum camera that can capture the intricate behaviours of superfluid helium-3. This camera, which uses quartz tuning forks to detect changes in the fluid without invasive methods, has provided new insights into the fluid's turbulence and structural complexities. Although helium-3 is not widely present on Earth, scientific research is expected to increase helium-3 and helium-4 demand substantially over the next decade.
