Proton Green Launches Helium Extraction Plant in Arizona

Private company Proton Green, the operator of a major helium, CO2, and carbon sequestration hub, announced the startup of its Phase I Helium Extraction Plant at the St. Johns Dome asset in Apache County, Arizona. With an estimated 33 bcf of helium and 9 tcf of CO2 in accessible reservoirs, Proton Green's facility positions it among the top helium producers in North America. The company has secured fixed-price offtake agreements with two undisclosed multinational industrial gas distribution companies, and its Phase II Plant construction is scheduled to begin in Q3'23. VVC Resources, owner of 14.09% in Proton Green, will also benefit from cash flows generated by Proton.
