New Russian helium production from Irkutsk Oil has finally commenced with the first helium liquid ISOs filled although exports have not left Russia as yet. No issues are currently envisioned to get helium out of the country. This is the second new supply source to start producing liquid helium after Renergen's plant in South Africa came on line, however Irkutsk may beat Renergen to the punch in terms of first exports. The plant was expected to start production in February of this year after delays from the previous expected start-up at the end of November last year. It appears the decision to nationalise Uniper and sell its helium business has not had any impact on Irkutsk's helium production.
