Philippines DoE to Classify Natural Hydrogen as a Hydrocarbon

The Philippines Department of Energy (DoE) announced that the awarding of service contracts for the exploration, development, and production of natural hydrogen will adhere to the guidelines outlined in a 1972 Presidential Decree (PD 87) which implies that natural hydrogen will be classified as a mineral gas similar to hydrocarbon gas and will be subject to regulations set forth by the DoE.
