Party City to File for Bankruptcy

Party City Holdco Inc is reportedly preparing to file for bankruptcy within weeks, as its cash dwindles and inflation dampens sales. The party supplies retailer has been struggling with weaker sales and is in discussions with its bondholders to convert debt into equity. Depending on the resulting outcome of the proceedings, this may have an impact on helium demand for party balloons if there are significant store closures.
