New Study puts Limits on Natural Hydrogen Generation from Serpentinisation

A study published in Nature Communications by Christiansen et al. found that serpentinisation proceeds far more slowly than previously hoped, with production rates constrained to roughly 300 to 600 tonnes of hydrogen per year across the two study areas examined in the Western Pyrenees and Northern California.
