New MIT Study on Natural Hydrogen

A study by MIT, funded by a US$1.3mm grant from the U.S. Department of Energy, is at the forefront of natural hydrogen research. This project is part of a wider initiative that awards US$20mm to 18 teams, aiming to harness natural hydrogen generated through the interaction of water and iron-rich rocks. MIT's research, led by Assistant Professor Iwnetim Abate, seeks to refine the process of hydrogen production by identifying optimal conditions such as catalysts, temperature, pressure, and pH levels.
