The technology involves injecting helium gas into pipelines and conducting drilling at multiple locations. If a leak exists, the gas will rise to the surface, enabling technicians to precisely locate the leakage point without the need for road excavation or ground digging. Leak detection has strong demand for helium given the small size of the element.
