New Cooling Technology Cuts Helium Cost

Canadian firm Zero Point Cryogenics has patented a new refrigeration system that cools to just 500 millikelvin without relying on large volumes of rare helium-3 (typically needed for such cooling), making ultra-cold temperatures more accessible for quantum computing and scientific research.
