Natural Hydrogen Potential in Romania

A borehole drilled in the 1970s for metal exploration in the Tișovița–Iuți ophiolite, southwestern Romania, unexpectedly struck a pressurised gas pocket rich in hydrogen (~29%) and methane (~69%).
