A recent article focused on the work of Jürgen Grötsch, a former Shell geologist now researching at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany, who has detected hydrogen concentrations above 500 ppm in Bavarian soil, suggesting a hydrogen reservoir at depths of around 1,500 metres.
