Joining the list of the US Department of Energy's ARPA-E awardees is Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) that has been granted US$1mm to research and develop technologies for enhancing natural hydrogen production. The study will focus on geochemical reactions involving magnesium and iron-bearing minerals. This research intends to support the commercial-scale deployment of clean hydrogen as a sustainable energy source, contributing to efforts to mitigate climate change impacts.
