Leiden University, the Netherlands, researchers have secured grants for six quantum research projects from the Quantum Delta Dutch National Growth Fund program and the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO). Valued at ~€10mm, the funding aims to advance quantum technology, supporting studies in various areas such as superfluid quantum informatics, quantum algorithms for mathematical problems, topological data analysis, components for a quantum internet, quantum reading of a quantum sensor, and the integration of artificial intelligence into the search for new quantum algorithms. Most of these processes utilise helium to operate and we see the quantum technology market as a significant driver for the growth of helium demand over the next decade.
