Euro Airship is an eco-friendly vision for aviation with the Solar Airship One, a rigid airship powered by hydrogen fuel cells and solar energy, aiming for perpetual flight without landings. This innovative approach promises an 80% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to traditional aircraft. The airship's plan includes a remarkable 40,000 km global circumnavigation, highlighting its potential for green mobility and inspiring future generations to combat climate change. Construction starts in 2024, with the first flight expected in 2026, followed by full-type certification efforts. Solar Airship One only requires 1.8mmcf of helium which raises competitive challenges for helium propelled airships that are being developed.
