Helios Aragon Acquires UK Helium and Natural H2 Player: Helium Resources

Helios Aragon, a Spanish natural hydrogen company, acquired Helium Resources Limited (HRL), a private UK-based natural hydrogen and helium exploration firm. This acquisition is part of Helios Aragon's strategy to expand its global portfolio of natural hydrogen and helium projects. HRL has been exploring areas in the UK (undisclosed) and plans to drill the country's first natural hydrogen and helium exploration well. In the past, HRL claims to have applied for a drilling license with the UK Oil and Gas Authority (OGA), but at the time, OGA believed that there was no pressing need for a domestic source of helium. However, the new UK government's 'Great British Energy' initiative's objectives align with those of the natural hydrogen and helium industry which will support Helios' acquisition and future operations. Currently, HRL is the only helium and natural hydrogen explorer with operations in the UK.
