A webinar on natural hydrogen is being hosted on 24 April 2025 (12:00–13:00 EDT) as part of the US DOE’s H2IQ Hour series, where Geoffrey Ellis (USGS) and Douglas Wicks (DOE) will outline the current understanding of subsurface hydrogen, recent global discoveries, and the engineering advances required to bring this emerging resource to market. The USGS recently released a map of all the prospective regions with natural hydrogen potential in the US.
