Jesse-1A unexpectedly flowed gas to surface during initial re-entry operations, indicating an enhanced ability of the reservoir to flow helium gas to surface, however there was no indication of what this implied for a future flow rate. During the initial swabbing of the Jesse-1A well after the re-entry, Grand Gulf Energy (GGE) observed a helium concentration of 0.78% in the gas flowing to the surface. Helium concentrations had been steadily increasing over the duration of swabbing and are thus considered consistent with the previous 1% helium downhole sample taken in 2022. GGE is now looking to isolate the lower Leadville zone and execute a thorough helium gas flow test on the upper Leadville reservoir, with anticipated results by the end of the year.
