Grand Gulf Energy announces promising results from acid solubility testing conducted by Halliburton at Jesse-1A. Rock cutting samples showed excellent acid solubility, making it an ideal candidate for acid stimulation with predominantly between 73% to 80% of samples dissolved by 15% hydrochloric acid at 180°F in one hour, indicating significant potential for increased gas production rates. With the Jesse-1A well identified as an ideal candidate for acid stimulation, the company anticipates multiples of initial production flow rates, leveraging effective reservoir completion designs and tailored stimulation programs. The forthcoming side-track operation is scheduled for Q2'24 and aims to optimise production and test multiple secondary reservoir targets.
