Grand Gulf Energy completed flow-testing of the Jesse-1A well, with the upper Leadville reservoir yielding gas at a rate of 1 mmcf/d. Jesse-1A has a helium concentration in the range of 0.78-0.96%. The flow-test results will inform future well designs, and the company plans to side-track Jesse-1A for production in early 2024. The well's design allows testing of secondary reservoir targets, and ongoing acid solubility testing by Halliburton suggests potential flow-rate upside. Despite encountering a downhole obstruction, the operation demonstrated high reservoir deliverability, achieving a peak flow rate of 0.95mmcf/d.
