GE Hitachi signs First Commercial Nuclear SMR Contract in N. America

GE Hitachi has signed a contract for the deployment of a BWRX-300 small modular reactor (SMR) with Ontario Power Generation, SNC-Lavalin, and Aecon, marking the first commercial contract for a grid-scale SMR in North America. This is a positive for helium demand, which is normally required in the cooling process.
