Gazprom claims Linde’s design error caused Amur accident

In a November 2025 presentation by Oleg Olegovich Podsviryov at Gazprom displayed on LinkedIn, the operator of the Amur Gas‑Processing Plant (GPP) disclosed that the helium cryogenic trains are supplied via a dedicated separation module — Unit X-40 — which extracts a nitrogen-helium mixture from the main cryogenic flow for subsequent helium purification and liquefaction.
