Gasworld 2026: Call for A Shared Helium Storage Cavern

Caliche Development Partners is the company behind two of the handful of dedicated helium storage caverns in the world. Dave Marchese, its founder and CEO, has spent 20 years in underground gas storage. Ten years ago, Caliche bought a salt dome asset at Beaumont, Texas and built on it the first helium storage cavern in the Western Hemisphere, for Air Products. That cavern was sold to Energy Transfer in 2022, which operates it on behalf of Air Products.
