Desert Mountain Energy (DME) successfully reassembled its natural gas and helium processing facility on the West Pecos Abo Gas Field, New Mexico, securing the final operational permit from the US Bureau of Land Management (BLM). DME's plant is set to commence full-scale helium extraction and sales pending the expiration of the current gas purchase agreement in May'24. DME boosted gas throughput to ~1,500mcf/d of raw gas in Dec'23 and eyeing a near-term goal of >3,000mcf/d through further well workovers. Latest sampling and historical data suggest an initial average of 0.50% helium grades implying only ~2.7mmcf/y. The company's comprehensive review of open hole logs reveals multiple productive zones for long-term helium production.
