D3 Energy began production testing at the gold exploration borehole RBD03 for helium and natural gas, located within ER315, South Africa, drilled in 1982. This testing is part of an extended multi-borehole programme, including the historical RBD01 borehole, aimed at determining well interference and spacing. The results will expedite the submission of a Production Right application to South African authorities. Custom metering equipment, designed in Australia, is being used for the tests, expected to last two weeks. Additionally, drilling at the nearby RBD12 well will commence post-testing, aiming to validate the geological model and potentially yield commercial gas production rates.
