Avanti Energy Releases Helium Data On First Two Wells In Montana

Avanti Energy has just completed drilling its first two wells in Montana but has cut its drilling programme short as it originally contracted for 3 wells. The WNG 11-22 well showed a promising helium concentration of >1% and a flow rate of 2.6mmcf/d of total gas. However the Rankin 01-17 well only had 0.41% helium and a low flow rate due to induced formation damage. There was no mention of the pre-drill 1.4-8.9bcf for the Greater Knappen area. The go forward plan is for appraisal and development wells.
