Since our previous update, new high-resolution imagery of the strike on Ras Laffan’s Train 6 provides the clearest confirmation yet that damage was concentrated on the core liquefaction section, with the main cryogenic heat exchanger (MCHE) and adjacent nitrogen exchanger and compressor systems rendered inoperable, all of which are long‑lead items and underpin QatarEnergy’s 3–5 year restart guidance.
