AKAP Energy presented at the gasworld Specialty Gases Summit in Frankfurt on 10 June, outlining the firm's methodology for bringing transparency to the opaque global helium market and drawing significant audience interest. The presentation covered AKAP's proprietary data engine, which triangulates customs, shipment, satellite and on-the-ground sources, and highlighted key findings including the correction of systematically overstated US customs export data, China's gross import and re-export dynamics tracked at province level, the widening Qatar-Russia pricing differential driving Asian buyer behaviour, and the growing strategic importance of the Cliffside storage facility following its transfer to Messer. On the demand side, it flagged semiconductors, aerospace, quantum computing and airships as the key growth vectors over the next decade, while the supply outlook showed a pipeline of major projects — Amur, Qatar Helium 4 & 5, Dry Piney and Virginia Phase 2 — that AKAP risk-adjusts on a project-by-project basis across its coverage of more than 150 helium projects globally.
