During H1'24, Air Liquide's saw a marked decline in Asia Pacific helium sales driven by China, impacting overall Industrial Merchant revenue, which saw a slight decrease of 0.6%. Helium pricing in China was also weaker, which tallies with our data. This decline was largely offset by increased sales volumes of other gases. In the Americas, there was a double-digit increase in Carrier gas sales, supported by increased helium volumes, which contributed to a 9.2% revenue increase in Electronics (although this is a marginal contributor to Americas results). Notably, Air Liquide put significant helium into its storage site in Germany, which suggests that the market is currently well supplied.
